About Our Kennel

Turning Point Kennel LLC was established in 2007 and is located in Southwestern Indiana. We are a small kennel that is dedicated to providing the foot hunter with a companion they will enjoy hunting behind for years to come.

Quail hunting behind bird dogs has been my passion since I was knee high to a grasshopper and tripping over my dad's boot laces.

In 1999, I acquired my first GSP (Max) and formed an instant bond with both the dog and the breed. In November of 2002, I purchased a solid liver female puppy and in August of 2004, I purchased a second solid liver female puppy. Both of these fine shorthairs came from Steve and Kelly Paddick's line at Sand Burr Kennels... and a great friendship was established. Since the purchase of my first GSP, I have wanted to start a small family owned kennel. Through several challenges over the years and with the support of my wife, we are now able to make this a reality.

March of 2008 brought reflection as well as anticipation of the future of TPK. Max passed on and I was put to the task of locating and purchasing a male GSP pup. I knew I wanted a dog based heavily on the Moesgaard lines and after hours of research and phone calls, I met Chris Riddle of 6Rs Upland Kennels. I can't thank Chris enough for the opportunity to purchase Chief. We will breed him to the girls and offer him at stud when he comes of age.

Our goal at TPK is to provide you with a positive experience from purchasing a puppy through the life span of your companion. We hope you enjoy our website and check back often for new developments.
